Educational Learning

Education Specialist

The Education Specialist Degree Program is designed for those individuals who desire to increase their knowledge in educational leadership and/or gain administrative licensure. The Ed.S. program requires a minimum of 40 credit hours beyond a master's degree in educational leadership, which include 6 credit hours of doctoral level courses. These two courses are to be chosen after consultation with the student's advisor. For those students possessing a master's degree in areas other than educational leadership, the semester hour requirement may be increased in order to first obtain an equivalent of an M.Ed. in educational leadership.

The following program has been designed with a specific career objective in mind. In addition, each program shares four common components:

  1. Research and Foundations
  2. Educational Leadership Core
  3. Area of Support
