Tutoring Information For Parents
Spring 2010 Reading Program Tutoring
We tutor children in grades 1-6 who have difficulties learning to read, write, and spell. Children are tutored in small groups with an emphasis on developmental instruction and providing positive learning experiences. A progress report with recommendations is prepared and mailed to you after tutoring. We fill up early so register soon.
The spring program runs from February 2 - April 28. Children are tutored on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:15 p.m.

Need to Hire a Private Tutor? 
If you are interested in hiring a private tutor for your child, please contact the Center for Learning and Literacy, at the University of Nevada, Reno, by calling (775) 784-4951 or fill out our online private tutor request form. The Center for Learning and Literacy maintains a tutor database. Our tutors include university students in education, graduate students, or certified teachers. This referral service is provided to help you find a tutor who will best meet the developmental and educational needs of your child. There is no fee for referrals. |
