Biographical Information
Ph.D. from University of Texas,
Dr. Jill Packman has been as assistant professor of Counseling at UNR since July 2002. Dr. Packman came to Reno from Texas where her major areas of interest were School Counseling and Play Therapy. Dr. Packman coordinates the school counseling program and teaches courses in the community counseling/marriage and family tracks. Additionally, she is the current director of the Downing Counseling Clinic the preferred internship site for community/marriage and family counseling students. Since arriving at UNR, Dr. Packman has been recognized for her research by the American Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy. She has also been honored by the College of Education as an Outstanding Mentor and by the university being awarded one of the first Silver Compass Awards.

Teaching / Interest
Dr. Packman teaches CEP 665: Child and Family Guidance, CEP 770 School Counseling Internships as well as courses in the community/marriage and family tracks.
