New Standards for Educational Diagnosticians
CEC is in the process of validating a new set of knowledge and skills. The set for Educational Diagnosticians is considered an Advanced Set and as such will be in the Advanced Common Core to be published in 2008. As CEDS Professional Standards Committee Chair, Pat Frawley has been chairing a committee whose goal is to update and validate present standards and align existing materials with current and emerging practices. Committee members who have worked toward this goal include Nancy Halmhuber, Theresa Montani, Jennifer Goldblatt, Joan Hoffman and Carol Layton. The standards for Educational Diagnosticians are being prepared for final survey this coming fall. Please review the content of the standards, which can be downloaded below, and contact Pat Frawley at patquilt@comcast.net with any suggestions. We welcome your feedback.
