Electical and Biomedical Engineering

Electrical Engineering Internship Program

The Electrical and Biomedical Engineering Department strongly encourages its students to obtain internships at engineering companies both within and outside the state of Nevada. The department also allows students to signup for internship classes (EE 296, 396 and 496) so that they obtain credit for their internship work. The student must be working a minimum of 20 hours/week at the company to be eligible for 1 credit of internship during the fall and spring semesters. A student is allowed to enroll for 2 credits (1 credit each of EE 296, 396 or 496) during the summer, if he/she is working a minimum of 40 hours/week.

Internship Forms and Information

Please read the internship policies and agreement. The internship agreement can be filled out using Adobe Acrobat. One of these forms must be filled out completely by the student and the other by the student's supervisor at the engineering company. It is also the student's responsibility to make sure that their supervisor sends in the completed evaluation form by the end of semester deadline.
