Light without wires
How can a lamp light without wires?
The coil in the foreground is a tesla coil. This is a device that is similar to the circuit in a car that creates the spark for the spark plugs. In the process of making this very high voltage, an electromagnetic field is produced and radiates to the nearby flourescent lamp. The coating on the insde of the lamp's tubing is sensitive to these fields and lights in respons.
