Website Accessibility Policy
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) and the University of Nevada, Reno is committed to maintaining fully accessible websites for persons with disabilities. To this end, all web pages of the DRC website (those files preceded by "www.unr.edu/drc" in their URL) are compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
To ensure full accessibility of the site's content to all browsers and internet devices, graphical presentation is only optimized for newer browsers that support current web standards. The content is fully accessible to older browsers but without full graphical presentation.
If your browser or internet device does not support style sheets properly the content of this site is still readable, albeit in a reduced presentation form.
Select browsers that support style sheets:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 9 or higher for Windows and 5.x for Macintosh
- Firefox: version 3.x for Windows and Macintosh
- Safari version 4.x for Macintosh OSX
In order to ensure maximum accessibility on all internet capable devices such as Smart Phones, PDAs as well as most web browsers and operating systems. The DRC web pages have been designed in accordance with W3C's web specifications. All of the pages validate as xHTML 1.0 strict.
The website is accessible via the keyboard to navigate the pages.
