- Career Options: By earning a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science, a graduate is well prepared for careers in environmental research, sustainability and renewable energy. They will gain an expert understanding of United States environmental policy and its impacts in the public and private spheres. Jobs are available in environmental compliance and law, waste mitigation and environmental health and safety. Some specific career avenues include becoming an environmental planner, soil conservationist, resource economist and environmental consultant.
Specific programs of study are developed through the collegial interaction of the student with his/her Graduate Advisory Committee. The program emphasizes the functioning of range, forest and aquatic ecosystems, and includes the following areas of specialization: Wildlife and Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, including Watershed Science, Environmental Science, Forest Rangeland, wildlife ecology conservation biology, and Forest and Range Management.
