Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology

Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology

Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology (CMPP) is a degree path within the Molecular Biosciences interdisciplinary graduate program. We offer graduate studies culminating in the Doctor of Philosophy degree and we prepare students for careers in biological and biomedical research, industry, and teaching.

Students will learn principles of physiology and pharmacology and are given opportunities to integrate this information in problem solving scenarios. Our students are given numerous opportunities to present their work at different platform levels and will learn effective oral communication skills. This is an important outcome for the development of a competitive researcher in academia or in the private sector. Students will develop independent and critical thinking abilities, enabling them to contribute significantly to the advancement of knowledge in physiology and pharmacology.
