As the 'Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies', our mission is to provide training, technical assistance, evaluation, research, and other services to support prevention, treatment and recovery in the alcohol and other drugs field.
CASAT strives to improve substance abuse prevention and treatment services by helping states, organizations, agencies, and individuals apply evidence-based practices in the field.
All of our grants and contracts support this mission.
We offer undergraduate certificates and minors and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in addiction treatment services.
Degrees in Addiction Treatment
- Certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention Services: An 18-credit advanced certificate in addiction treatment and prevention services is designed for graduate level students or post master's degreed individuals who are interested in enhancing their body of knowledge specific to addiction services.
- Minor in Addiction Treatment Services: The minor, available to all students, is particularly designed for those who are majoring in a health or social service field and are interested in the addiction treatment field as a supplement to their major.
- Advanced Graduate Certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention Services: An 18-credit advanced certificate in addiction treatment and prevention services is designed for graduate level students or post master's degreed individuals who are interested in enhancing their body of knowledge specific to addiction services.
