In an effort to help college qualified high school students who are underrepresented in higher education with their preparation, admission, enrollment and financial aid process, the Center sends coordinators to local high schools once a month for a program called Adopt-A-School.
Annually the Center invites students in the Adopt-A-School Program to the University of Nevada campus to shadow a college student to see what life on Nevada's campus is like. The day consists of attending class with a college student, a personalized campus tour and lunch.
Each Spring the Center facilitates a workshop for high school students at local high schools to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which is required to get financial aid for college.
