I thought the Math Center closed or that only certain students could use the Math Center.
We are very fortunate that the Math Center was able to stay open via alternate funding.  Students on campus now pay a $25 semester fee to fund the Math Center, Writing Center and Tutoring Center.  This means that all students at UNR can use the Math Center for math and stat help.

What has changed in the Math Center this year?
We are back to full operation -this means that any student, enrolled in any UNR course is welcome to come to the Math Center for assistance with mathematics or statistics problems.

Do I need to bring a student ID when I visit the Math Center?
Yes.  A UNR student ID is required for EVERY visit to the Math Center. Knowing your R-number is NOT an acceptable substitute.  It's necessary that we keep accurate statistics regarding the usage of the Center.  We can only do that with student IDs.  If you do not bring your student ID, you will not be allowed to use the Math Center.

How do I rent calculators?
The Math Center allows students to rent graphing calculators for $20 per semester.  Students need to pay this fee at the Cashier's Office before they can get the calculator from the Math Center (the Math Center can not accept payment).  Students can download the form here and take it directly to the Cashier's Office.

How can I find a private tutor?
The Math/Stat Department located in DMS 314 keeps a list of people who offer their services as private tutors.
