The College of Science at the University of Nevada, one of the University's 11 colleges and schools, was established on January 1, 2004. The College of Science brings together the pure and applied physical sciences, earth sciences & engineering, life sciences, and mathematics to better educate our students, conduct cutting edge research relevant to society, and reach out to our surrounding communities to promote literacy in these subject fields.

  • We have over 1000 undergraduate students and 450 graduate students in the College of Science and we're continuing to grow
  • There are about 11,000 University of Nevada undergraduate students who are enrolled in courses offered by College of Science departments

  • The College of Science received over $28 million dollars for research for the 2006 fiscal year
