Bachelor of Science in Hydrogeology
The Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrogeology is based on the same major curriculum as the Bachelor of Science in Geology; but begins an emphasis on groundwater and surface water resources at the upper division course level. 400-level coursework specific to this degree program includes groundwater hydrology, fluid dynamics, small watershed hydrology, and environmental geochemistry. Other pertinent electives including oceanography, river geomorphology, hydro-geophysics. Field methods for well testing are available as well. Students working toward the B.S. degree in Hydrogeology have access to many of the same resources and faculty as the nationally acclaimed Graduate Program for Hydrologic Sciences.
To receive a Bachelor of Science in Hydrogeology, 129 credits are required, comprised of 39-42 University core, 86 Major and 1-4 Elective credits. A minor in Geophysics requires 19 credits.
