Ph.D. in Geo-Engineering

The Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering in collaboration with the Mining Engineering faculty offers a Ph.D. in geo-engineering. Applications for this interdisciplinary program can be submitted to either department. Research areas include: planetary geology, rock mechanics, remote sensing, geologic hazards, slope stability, mathematical geology, geomechanics and geostatistics. Prospective students are encouraged to contact faculty in either department.
