elcome to the Geographic Alliance in Nevada (GAIN) website! Founded in 1989, GAIN is part of the National Geographic Society's state alliance network designed to get good geography back into the nation's K-12 curriculum.There are currently active alliances in all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Canada. This site is designed to assist alliance teachers by providing a network of fellow teachers, institutes and workshops, developing materials, and by encouraging curriculum reform from the inside out.
