General Course Information

Most exams will be made up of in-class and textbook questions with some old exam questions mixed in.

ALL students in either Chem. 121 or 122 labs that attend a lab DIFFERENT from the one in which they are OFFICIALLY REGISTERED will receive an 'F' grade for lab and will subsequently FAIL THE COURSE.

If you miss three (3) labs without an official excuse, you will automatically receive an 'F' in the lab and will also fail the course. THIS IS OFFICIAL POLICY OF THE CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT NOT OF THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR.

Procedure to be followed for all exams:

  1. As soon as all students are seated, ALL BOOKS AND NOTES go under your seat. When everyone is quiet, the exams will be passed out.
  2. When you are finished writing your exam, come down to the front of the room, show your UNR photo ID and place your exam in the lab section number found on the front table. THIS MEANS THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW THE NUMBER OF YOUR LAB SECTION.
  3. In order to exit the lecture hall, all students must exit through the lower doors; absolutely no one will be allowed to exit the lecture hall through the upper doors. Thus, your ticket out of the room is your completed exam.

Note: Class materials are provided on this web site as PDF (portable document format) and MS Word files. A free PDF file reader plug-in for your browser is available (already loaded in the computer labs in JCSU, Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center, DeLaMare Library).
