Whether inside or outside of their classrooms and residence halls, students find it's easy to love life at Nevada. Our students journey into themselves and the world around them during their exploration of the rich academic environment and vibrant student life at Nevada, where undergraduate research is flourishing and study-abroad programs are growing in popularity. Many students say they get a level of personalized attention from faculty and staff that's more akin to a private rather than a public education.
The main campus is known for its beauty, with a historic quadrangle ("The Quad"), a lake and other water features, and views of the surrounding mountains. The University is just minutes away from hiking, skiing and water sports at Lake Tahoe and the Truckee River, and there are more than 130 student organizations providing a wide variety of extracurricular activities too.
