Nevada alumna Susan Desmond-Hellmann, M.D., M.P.H., president of product development at Genentech, was named to Fortune’s “Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2003. She was also ranked as one of the 15 highest-paid businesswomen, joined by fellow Nevada graduate Maureen Mullarkey, executive vice president of IGT.
