How I Integrate Technology Into the Classroom:

I have built a small very well equipped computer lab within my classroom including digital cameras, digital camcorders, scanners and microphones and a smart board.  I integrate various technologies in all of my classes. Some of the software programs I use are PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready, Premier and After Effects, Flash, Imovie2 and a variety of Tom Snyder and Sunburst titles.

I team teach multimedia with the Technology Coordinator at our school and we are training students for their A+ and C+ certifications as well as supervising them their duties as technology specialist for our district.

I have also organized a group of students who work under the name - DDesigns, who design the school's web page and have built a small entrepreneurial web design business http://www.pershing.k12.nv.us/pchs. I also have my webpage for my class
http://www.pershing.k12.nv.us/pchs/parrish

I supervise the creation of the Senior Graduation Program - A multimedia presentation produced by my students for the PCHS graduation ceremony. Lastly, my personal web page can be viewed at: http://www.pershing.k12.nv.us/pchs/parrish.htm

Interesting Fact:

I am the Director of Operations for Pershing Broadcasting Company- PBC is a Public Television Station currently operated by my Studio Broadcasting class.
