Educational Background:

B.A. in liberal studies from CSUS
I have been teaching for 14 years, primarily in 6th grade. I was a technology trainer for my school for 3 years.

 

How I Integrate Technology Into the Classroom:

I have my students do at least one presentation a year in PowerPoint. We use Tom Snyder software for reading and social studies. The internet is used on a regular basis for current events and skill practice, as well as research for projects.

 

Interesting Fact:

I’m an avid traveler and my “dream job” would be to become a travel agent so I can travel for free!

Description of Workshop: The first two hours of this class will give the staff at our school training on newly acquired software. Plato math software allows teachers to differentiate math lessons for individual students for remediation and acceleration. Our language arts software provides practice in reading and all forms of writing. The teachers will have time to navigate through the new software and set it up for their class. The second two hours will provide participants time to set up electronic lesson plans and other time saving forms. We will go over the formatting and saving of these templates.
