UNR Staff: Gwen Shonkwiler

How I support the consortium:

Dr. Gwen Shonkwiler is a program evaluator and data analysis specialist in the Research and Educational Planning Center, College of Education, at the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Shonkwiler has Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Masters of Science in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. Her Ph.D. is in Educational Leadership with a focus in Higher Education administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Shonkwiler is currently the lead evaluator for the Central Nevada Educational Technology Consortium and also the coordinator of the academic mentoring component for the Hewlett Foundation Grant, a collaborative effort between the College of Education and College of Engineering. She has also serves as the Accreditation Liaison for Nevada State College, Henderson, which is the newest institution in the Nevada System of Higher Education. Her research interests include higher education policy issues, postsecondary academic support services, statistical analysis, program evaluation and outcomes assessment. Gwen also was the assistant swimming coach for the Nevada Wolfpack from 1991 to 1996.
