Other Research & Teaching Resources

Facilities
Our department houses and have access to state of the art research and teaching laboratories. The department has fully equipped process control and unit operations laboratories among others for teaching courses of our curriculum.
Renewable Energy
The recently announced Renewable Energy Center will focus on synchronizing programs for competitive research in renewable energy. This center is an interdisciplinary effort that spans multiple disciplines and colleges at the University and promises to create even more educational synergy through the coordinated efforts of faculty. Activities are organized around seven working groups in key areas including biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, solar energy, power grid, curriculum and outreach.
Equipment
Our department houses state-of-the-art equipment for research and teaching purposes. We are constantly upgrading and acquiring new equipment as our faculty progress in their research activities and projects.
Computing
Our department has access to engineering computer center (ECC) for teaching purposes. A large variety of engineering software tools are available to undergraduate students and faculty. For research purposes, the department has access to the UNR Research Grid.
