Research Interests: Stem cell biology and tissue engineering. Stem cell expansion and modulation.
My research interests are focused on the dissection of mechanisms that contribute to adult tissue stem cell regulation, including self-renewal, differentiation, expansion, and potential plasticity. Also being pursued is the development of new approaches using human cell cultures with appropriate scaffolds to derive tissues and organs, which could then be supplied on demand for therapeutic applications.
