TITLE:
Postdoctoral Fellow (Two positions open)
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires Ph.D. or an equivalent degree with research experience relevant
to the responsibilities. Training in immunology, molecular biology,
protein chemistry, enzymology and cell biology is preferred. Required
experience includes first-authored publications in English language
journals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To conduct investigations supported by funds from federal and/or private
agencies into cell and molecular biology of immune responses, including
mechanisms of lymphocyte-mediated killing, effects of calreticulin on immune
responses, effects of granzyme serine proteases and dipeptidylpeptidase I (DPPI)
on immunity and immune responses to tumors and transplanted tissues. To
write research papers for English language journals. To perform research
that is feasible within program and departmental (Dept of Microbiology)
resources.
SALARY:
$28,500-40,000 per year, negotiable depending on skills, qualifications,
overall experience, and budget limitations from the granting agencies.
