Announces
Auditions for the Spring Dance Concert and Student Dance Concert
When: Thursday, January 24th beginning at 6pm
Where: Lombardi Recreation Rm. 7
Who: Any student enrolled in at least one dance technique course (ballet, modern, or jazz) for Spring 2013 is eligible to audition
What: Auditions for both the Spring Dance Concert (May 3rd & 4th, 8pm in Nightingale Concert Hall) AND the Student Dance Concert (March 13th-15th, 8pm in the Redfield Studio Theatre)
The first portion of the audition will be for the Spring Dance Concert featuring work by faculty and guest artist choreographers. Our guest artists will be Kristen Avansino and Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. The audition for Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago will be held the week of March 25th. Technical rehearsals for the Spring Dance Concert will be Tuesday, April 30th - Thursday, May 2nd.
The second portion of the audition will be for the Student Dance Concert featuring work by student choreographers (all choreographers must satisfy the requirement of DAN 288: Choreography II, be enrolled in a dance technique course, and submit proposal for choreography to Cari Cunningham - caric@unr.edu). Technical rehearsals for the Student Dance concert will be Monday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 12th.
