The deadline to apply is February 1st for the following Fall semester. We do not accept new students in the spring.

All the forms that you need to apply to the Social Psychology program are directly below (in the Forms section of this webpage). If you have any questions about the application's components, please click here to e-mail our Program Director, Dr. Murray.

Forms for the Social Psychology and Graduate School Applications

Mailing Addresses for the Social Psychology Program and the Grad School

To the Social Psychology Program send:

  • Your Social Psychology Program Application
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • A statement of purpose
  • Xerox copies of all undergrad and grad transcripts (official copies to grad school)
  • Xerox copy of your GRE scores (official copy to the grad school)
  • A sample of your research or writing

To the Grad School send:

  • Completed application for Graduate School Admission (unless submitted online)
  • Nonrefundable application fee ($60 or $40 for returning or UNR alumni)
  • 2 copies of official transcripts from all universities and/ or colleges attended
  • Official GRE scores

NOTE: You must complete both the Social Psychology Program application and the graduate school application to be considered for acceptance to the Social Psychology Program.


Arranging a Visit

If you are interested in arranging a visit to the Social Psychology Program at the University of Nevada, you can contact Program Director, Colleen Murray, Ph.D. If you are interested in meeting with current students in the doctoral program please contact Sue Harris or Maia Finholm, Social Psychology Club co-chairs. We will be happy to help you out any way we can. Generally, we will get a group of students together for you to meet over lunch or during happy hour. It's your call!
