UNR’s Nevada Chamber Opera presents the Nevada premiere of Gilbert and Sullivan’s hilarious comic operetta, Iolanthe. Regarded as one of Sullivan’s most beautiful scores, Iolanthe is a topsy-turvy love story that dares to ask, what would happen if the government were taken over by a hostile group of… fairies? Both liberals and conservatives can agree that Iolanthe is just plain silly fun as this election year they unite to fight for love, fight for honor, and fight the fairies!
