Meredyth Lewis teaches Applied Piano and the Functional Piano Classes. She has been teaching piano to students of all ages since 1989. She also enjoys playing/accompanying late Renaissance and Baroque music on harpsichord. Meredyth received the Master of Music degree in Piano and Harpsichord Performance under Dr. James Winn at UNR. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina under Dr. Max Camp.
Meredyth has also had opportunities to study abroad during 1994-2000. While living in La Serena, Chile, she studied piano under Sra. Ariadna Colli, and was involved in ensemble, theory, and Chilean music history classes at the Music School of the University of La Serena. She also studied piano with Irina Samodaeva in Villahermosa, and with Antonina Dragan in Monterrey in Mexico.
Meredyth holds a Permanent Professional Certificate as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) from the Music Teachers National Association. She is also a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She is active on the boards of both the Northern Nevada Music Teachers Association (NNMTA) and the Nevada Music Teachers Association (NMTA).
