Listed in the Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America, Helen Lee has been teaching voice at UNR's Department of Music for more than thirty years. She was the district winner for the Metropolitan Opera Audition Competition and has performed at both Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has sung for Olympic Gold Medalist figure skater Katarina Witt on an internationally televised performance, and has made a concert tour of Japan where she also appeared on national television. She had returned to give concerts at the National Concert Hall in her native Taiwan, where she was a national winner of a vocal competition and was soloist with the Taiwan National Symphony. Ms. Lee made numerous recordings prior to her departure for the United States for her postgraduate degree. She gave a concert in nine languages as a part of a UNR multicultural celebration and was the president of the UNR faculty's Honor Society for International Scholars and received recognition at an international conference in Montreal. She has performed as a guest soloist with San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Reno Chamber Orchestra, and Reno Philharmonic Symphony, and frequently performs as a guest artist throughout many major cities of the United States and Canada.
