Beau Rogers
Beau Rogers has a BA in both English and Spanish from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, an AA in Photography and Multi-Media from the Art Institute of Dallas, and is currently an MA student in the Literature and the Environment program at the University of Nevada, Reno. Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Beau spent the majority of his leisure time hiking trails and photographing scenes in the Ozark Mountains. As a former photojournalist, he has had photographs published in many different magazines and newspapers such as Sports Illustrated, The Sporting News, Trail Runner and The Los Angeles Times. His landscape photography has been featured on postcards throughout Arkansas for the past 10 years; two of his recent Nevada images will be in the 2010 Friends of Nevada Wilderness calendar. His current scholarly interests include nature writing, travel writing, memoir writing, American exploration narratives, and the environmental influence of landscape photography.
