Talley Kayser

Talley Kayser hails (most recently) from the American South, where she supplemented a lifelong passion for literature with earnest attempts to learn too much at once.  After delving intermittently into ecology, natural history, conservation biology, and geographic information systems, Talley graduated from Furman University with a BA in English.  She spent a year working as an outdoor educator in both the Appalachians and the Swiss Alps before heading west to UNR, where the L&E program offers constructive intellectual space for exploring both the sciences and the literary world (thank goodness).

Talley's interests are still forming, but she is currently considering an academic path that incorporates environmental literature, literary theory, cultural geography, and new media studies.  Her less-academic interests include song, dance, cooking, growing things, exploring Reno/Nevada/California, and seeking out good stories.  She spends most of her spare time outdoors.
