Mount Rose Wilderness
The Wilderness is a slice of wild country nestled between the two urban environments of Reno and Lake Tahoe and contains most of the high country of the Carson Range between Highways I-80 and SR 431.
The wilderness is truly an "urban" wilderness with portions of its boundary running almost to the Reno city limits.
Trails in the wilderness range from easy to difficult.
