Linda Ruzich

Books, books, books: Someday I'll have to join "Bookaholics Anonymous," but for now, I'm enjoying my addiction. My love of literature led me to a BA (from California State University, Fullerton) and an MA (from California State University, Sacramento) in English, with a slight detour to get an MS in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. While working on my English Master's program, I "discovered" Native American literature, which triggered a renewed concern for the environment. I was delighted to be selected to continue my studies through the PhD program of Literature and Environment in the English Department here at UNR. I have three grown sons, six grandchildren, a husband and three cats, all of whom wonder if I'll ever be through being a student (I certainly hope not!). After teaching English composition for six years, I am now part of the Core Humanities team, a new challenge which I enjoy a great deal. It is great to hear from students and collegues, and I can be reached at lruzich@unr.edu.
