George Brooks
George English Brooks is a MA student in the L&E program. He grew up between the cottonwood canyons of Utah’s Wasatch Front and the parochial schools of Hartford, Connecticut. He studied literature (English & Spanish/Latin American) and linguistics at the University of Utah. Before coming to UNR, George spent several years running an adult literacy program, teaching, and gardening in central Utah’s Sanpete Valley. In his spare time he enjoys Mexican radio, squinting at birds and inventing poorly attended high-altitude marathons.
