Megan Kuster

Megan grew up in Brockport, New York, a small, college town on the Erie Canal. Before moving to Reno, she studied in Toronto, Canada for five years. In May 2004 she received an H.Bs. from the University of Toronto, with a major in English a double minor in Biology and Zoology. For the next few months Megan ran around the Appalachian Mountains in Maryland, employed as a Ridgerunner for the Appalachian Trail Conference.

Megan entered the L&E program as an MA student in September 2005. Her current scholarly interests include transatlantic botany, postcolonial ecocriticism, and literary theory.
