Elizabeth Swingrover was educated at the University of
Southern California in their Thematic Option Honors Program, and received
her Ph.D. from the University of Nevada in American Literature with an
emphasis on literature of the West. She teaches courses in American Literature,
Popular Culture, Native American Literature, and Creative Writing, as
well as in the Core Humanities Program. Her poetry and short fiction have
been published in Zoetrope, Fatlip, and other journals.
Her latest book, The Counterculture Reader, is available from
Longman. She is currently at work on a gothic novel set in Nevada.
