J. NELSON ROJAS, Professor of Spanish and a native of Chile, received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He teaches Romance and Spanish linguistics, contemporary Latin American poetry, Spanish composition and conversation, and French language. He has also been instrumental in developing new courses in translation at both the intermediate and advanced levels. Prof. Rojas has published widely in the areas of linguistics and Latin American poetry, and his current research concerns linguistic approaches to the poetry of Gonzalo Rojas.
