KATHLEEN LEONARD, lecturer of Spanish, received her M.A. in Spanish from UNR in 1990. She teaches first through third-year level language courses. She is also the instructor for Reading Spanish 205 & 209 offered through the College of Extended Studies. She is an undergraduate academic advisor for Spanish majors & minors and is available for career counseling by appointment. She has participated in two of the University Study Abroad Consortium's (USAC) programs in San Sebastian, Spain (1985-86) and Santiago, Chile (1990). Encouraged by her travel experiences, many of her students have studied in these programs. Language related travel includes Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Spain. In the summer, she is a regular instructor of language and culture courses at South Lake Tahoe Community College's Intensive Spanish Summer Institute (ISSI).
