Dahlia Dwedar, A.B.D., Lecturer of Standard Arabic
Dahlia Dwedar is currently working on her Ph.D. dissertation in Education Technology Management at North Central University. She received her double major Master’s Degree in Art and Literature Criticism from the Academy of Art, Cairo, Egypt, 1996. In addition, she received the Diploma of French Language from the International School of Language and French Civilization in Paris, France. She is a Certified Senior Instructor with the Department of Defense (DOD) and has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the College of Fine Arts, Cairo, Egypt.
Her research interests include education and learning technology, curriculum development, second language acquisition, ancient Egyptian history, Middle East history and culture, Islam and English to Arabic interpretation and translation.
Currently, Dahlia teaches Modern Standard Arabic (ARA 111, 112, 211, 212) at UNR. Since 2007, she has taught courses on Middle East culture, Egyptian culture, Islam, Middle East history and Modern Standard Arabic for the DLIFLC, Monterey, CA as an Assistant Professor and for the TRADOC Culture Center at the USAICoE.
She also likes to cook and collect antiques!
