Literary Contest

Hosted by the Spanish section and the Latino Research Center every Spring, the contest is for 300-and-above level students in Spanish.
Concurso Literario 14
There are three categories:
  • Undergraduate native Spanish speaker,
  • Undergraduate non-native Spanish speaker, and
  • Graduate students.

Literary writings (poetry, short story, essay) are accepted and must be completely original.  The papers that have been written for classes may be submitted.  The papers should be no longer than three (3) pages, typed, double-spaced, with a 12 pt size font (Times New Roman), and must be accompanied by an electronic file. 

The literary writings should be turned into Dr. Michelle Wilson with a pseudonym. 

The Jury of the Contest will be made up of Dr. Darrell Lockhart, Dr. Fred de Rafols, Dr. Nelson Rojas, and Dr. Michelle Wilson.  

The winners, plus a few others, are published in VOCES and receive a cash prize.
