KATHLEEN LEONARD, lecturer in Spanish, received her M.A. in Spanish from UNR. She teaches first through third-year level language courses. She is also the instructor for the correspondence courses Spanish 205 & 209 offered by the department of Independent Study. She is an undergraduate academic advisor for Spanish majors & minors and is available for career counseling by appointment. She has participated in two of the University Study Abroad Consortium's (USAC) programs in San Sebastian, Spain (1985-86) and Santiago, Chile (1990). Encouraged by her travel experiences, many of her students have studied in these programs. Recent language related travel includes Brazil, Mexico, and Spain. For the last 3 summers, she has taught intensive language courses at South Lake Tahoe Community College's Summer Institute.
