GRANT LENEAUX,
emeritus professor of German, received his Ph.D. from the University
of Kansas. He taught German, Classical Greek and Latin, and French
for 25 years in the department, and despite his supposed retirement,
he continues to teach courses in German, in Western Traditions,
and two in comparative literature with English professor Bill Wilborn
through UNR's PACE program: one on Greek and Shakespearian tragedy
and the other on the hero in Western literature. Spring of 1995
he served as the director of the new Studies Abroad program in Lüneburg,
Germany, and Fall of 1998 he taught in the USAC Program in Pau,
France. Prof. Leneaux is currently working on a book-length study
on the heroic agon in Homer.
