CASILDE
A. ISABELLI, Associate
Professor of Spanish, received her Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics
from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. Her
research concerns adult second language acquisition in the formal
classroom and study-abroad setting, multilingualism, pedagogy,
and sociolinguistics (use of Spanish in the US). She has taught
and/or currently teaches: Teaching of Foreign Languages (FLL 703),
Romance Applied Linguistics (FLL 455/655), Introduction to Hispanic Linguistics (SPAN 441/641),
Spanish Composition (SPAN 305, 306), Spanish Phonetics (SPAN 312), and Beginning
and Intermediate Spanish courses. She is also the Coordinator of the Basic
Spanish Language Program.
