Brady was born and raised in northern Utah and is the youngest in his family. Brady lived in Brazil from 1999-2001, serving an LDS mission. Upon completion of his mission, Brady earned his bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in Portuguese, in 2004 from Utah State. While attending USU, Brady met his future wife, Wendy, in the fall of 2002; they have been married for 9 years and have 4 rambunctious boys. Prior to his 2nd year as a grad student, Brady was hired as the Assistant Director of Freshman Composition at USU and served in that position from March of 2006 until he finished his master’s degree in American Studies in May of 2007. Brady came to UNR from BYU, where he was a visiting instructor from 2008-2011. Prior to that he was an adjunct at Utah Valley University and Salt Lake Community College. Brady and his family live in Stead and are doing their best to get used to the afternoon winds of the North Valleys. Brady teaches both composition and literature courses.

Brady loves almost all sports but is especially fond of the Yankees, watching college football, and playing tennis, in that order. Also, Brady loves camping, reading Harry Potter with his sons, and attempting to make people laugh with his Facebook posts. Something else you might want to know about Brady is that he put himself through college by working part-time for 4 years as a customer service rep for Sprint and DirecTV, which, according to him, has made him try and avoid talking on the phone at all costs.
