Please read your fellow student's paper for enjoyment and then reread to answer the following questions:
1. What, do you believe, is the overall impression the writer is trying to make on the reader?
2. When did you realize what impression the writer was trying to make? (Was it right in the introductory paragraph? Did you garner this from reading the entire paper? Did you find this in the last paragraph?)
3. List some of the general supporting details (that you liked best) that the reader used to help convey this impression.
4. Were there too few descriptive details included? Where would you like to learn more?
5. Did the writer generally show or tell you what happened throughout the paper? Give examples.
6. Does the way the paper is organized allow you as a reader to "see the scene" in a logical, orderly fashion?
7. Put checks by the lines on which you think there are problems (spelling, punctuation, wrong word, and the like).
8. Write your favorite descriptive sentence from the essay.
