Cover Letter Requirements

Your cover letter will describe what is in your portfolio and the process you went through to produce each piece of work.  Each piece should have a short description of its contents and an overview of some aspect of your writing process.  The cover letter should be at least one full page.  Here are some questions you could address to explain the writing process.

]     What did you enjoyed about writing the piece?

]     What difficulties did you run into while writing the piece?

]     Why did you choose this topic or experience?

]     What is your own sense of how well this paper worked?

Grading

ü      Half or your portfolio grade will be based on the improvement I find by

comparing your rough draft essays to the portfolio essays.

ü      Half of your portfolio grade will be determined by grammar usage, spelling, MLA

formatting, the relevance of your topic to the paper assignment, and an engaging presentation of ideas.

No late portfolios will be accepted.
