R.E. Davis, Ph.D.

R.E. Davis received his Ph.D. from The University of Oklahoma. He teaches classes in critical–cultural communication. His work has been recognized internationally and he is a co-founder of the largest online database of information about alternative media and social movements.

His research interests include the way that social movements use new media technologies to generate social change, public sphere theory, and the intersections of gender and sexuality in identity formation. He has done work in France, Ghana, Spain, Argentina, and Mexico.
