Faculty - Steve Pitts
Steve Pitts is currently the Chief of Police for the Reno (NV) Police Department. He began his career in policing in 1978 in Richmond (CA) at the Richmond Police Department, and then joined the Reno Police Department in 1979. Steve is an internationally recognized trainer in many policing disciplines, and has taught classes to various law enforcement audiences throughout the United States.

Steve is finalizing his Master in Public Administration degree from Golden Gate University, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Learning from California State University at Long Beach. Steve is a graduate of the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University, and Peter Senge's world recognized Fifth Discipline course at MIT. Steve is a nationally recognized consultant and teaches courses on Organizational Change, Project Management, Leadership, Investigations, and Counter Terrorism. Steve's passions are public service, life long learning and teaching.
