Faculty - Martha-Elin Blomquist, Ph.D.
Martha-Elin Blomquist, Ph.D., is a Model Court Liaison for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges with 25-plus years of work experience related to child welfare, juvenile justice and court systems. Dr. Blomquist earned her doctorate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy from the University of California Berkeley. She has taught in women's studies and criminal justice programs at several universities in California, Oregon and Florida and served as the research advisor to the Dean of Multicultural Affairs at Southern Oregon University. Dr. Blomquist has also had diverse research and consulting assignments with the California Department of Justice, the American Bar Association, Center for Children and Law, the American Prosecutors Research Institute, and the Humane Society of the United States. As an author and co-author of various books and articles as well as a presenter at regional, national and international conferences, Dr. Blomquist has made the disparate impact of legal and administrative decision making on women and children of color an important focus of her work.
